School
Chapel is held at 11:40 each day, between lunch periods. It
is conducted by one of the clergy of Epiphany Episcopal Church
or the Dean of the School. Visitors are always welcome and encouraged
to attend and share these services.
The Monday, Wednesday and Friday services are a shortened form
of the order of Daily Morning Prayer from The Book of Common
Prayer as it is used in the Episcopal Church. Tuesdays are "Parable
Tuesdays" focusing on a parable that is a lesson in life.
Every Thursday, there are birthday blessings for children whose
birthdays fall within the week as well as giving thanks for
all with which we are blessed from God's bounty, and sharing
that bounty in the form of food collected each Thursday for
God's Storehouse.
The religious emphasis is intended to establish
a foundation for Christian living, though no denominational
tenets are stressed. The school song is also sung.
Students sit with their respective classes during all Chapel
services. Visiting family members who come for birthday blessings
or any other occasions may sit with the student in his/her class
group as space allows, or they may choose to sit behind the
student body. Students are expected to remain with their class
group during Chapel.
This brief service offers a wonderful way to complete your morning.
